JORGE MÍREZ

Soy Ingeniero Mecánico Electricista por la Universidad Nacional "Pedro Ruíz Gallo" (Lambayeque, Perú), además Maestro en Ciencias con mención en Física y Doctor en Ciencias con mención en Física en la Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI) en Lima, Perú.. Como profesional me desempeño en la docencia universitaria e investigación en universidades públicas y privadas, también como ingeniero y consultor en hospitales e instituciones anexas al Ministerio de Salud del Perú desde el año 2000 y además como consultor independiente en temas de energía, ingeniería e investigación. Mi investigación está enfocada en los sistemas eléctricos y las energías renovables. Actualmente mi principal principal tema de investigación es sobre el control, optimización y gestión de microredes de energía de corriente continua (DC MG) que son sistemas eléctricos inteligentes que pueden trabajar conectados o aislados de la red eléctrica pública y que tienen microfuentes de generación eléctrica (solar fotovoltaica, eólica), almacenamiento de energía eléctrica (baterías), y cargas eléctricas, para ello emulo el comportamiento biológico. Otros temas de mi interés es el modelamiento matemático y simulación numérica en ciencias e ingeniería, enfocándome principalmente en ingeniería biomédica, ingeniería espacial y energías renovables. Uso el software Matlab/Simulink de MathWorks Inc y parte de mis lecturas y avances lo difundo a través de redes sociales: Fanpage, Facebook, Twitter, y varios blogs en Wordpress.

About me

I am a Mechanical Electrical Engineer from the National University "Pedro Ruíz Gallo" (Lambayeque, Peru), also a Master of Science with a mention in Physics and Doctor of Science with a mention in Physics at the National University of Engineering (UNI) in Lima, Peru. As professional, I work in university teaching and research in public and private universities, also as an engineer and consultant in hospitals and institutions attached to the Ministry of Health of Peru since 2000 and also as an independent consultant on energy, engineering and research issues. My research is focused on electrical systems and renewable energies. Currently my main research topic is on the control, optimization and management of direct current power microgrids (DC MG) which are intelligent electrical systems that can work connected or isolated from the public electrical grid and that have microsources of electrical generation ( solar photovoltaic, wind), storage of electrical energy (batteries), and electrical charges, for this I emulate biological behavior. Other topics of my interest are mathematical modeling and numerical simulation in science and engineering, focusing mainly on biomedical engineering, space engineering and renewable energy. I use the Matlab/Simulink software from MathWorks Inc and I disseminate part of my readings and progress through social networks: Fanpage, Facebook, Twitter, and various blogs on Wordpress.
